Høgskulen på Vestlandet vertskap for NABU nettverkskonferansen 30-31.oktober. Konferansen setter søkelys på hvordan vi kan forstå og forske på bærekraftutdanning, inkludert åpne og skjulte spenninger i forskningsfeltet. Det blir hovedforedrag, parallellsesjoner og symposier med innsendte bidrag. Vi håper å se mange (alle!) NABU-kollegaer her.

Vel blåst stipendiatwebinar 2024
NABU bidro til gjennomføringen av stipendiatwebinar 2024 før sommeren. 15 stipendiater fra hele Norden deltok, så det er ny rekord.
Vi satser på å samarbeide med det nordiske nettverket og Universitetet i Innlandet om stipendiatwebinar våren 2025. Mer informasjon kommer.

For de som ikke reiser til ECER-konferansen, inviterer det europeiske nettverket (Environmental and sustainability Education Research – ESER) til en åpen panelsesjon hvor det er mulig å delta på Zoom (man må ikke være påmeldt på selve konferansen – det er åpent for alle). Omtale av arrangementet:
Provocative Panel: Implications of Policy in the Field of ESE in Europe: examples and reflections
Provocations from: Aravella Zacchariou, Arjen Wals, Nicola Walshe, Sobhi Tawil, Kate Greer, and Keri Facer Facilitators: Elsa Lee, Ole Andreas Kvamme , Stefan Bengtsson
Presentations will provide concrete examples of policy frameworks that have implications for ESE research and practice across Europe and beyond. The frameworks include UNECE, ACE from UNFCCC, and the UNESCO Futures of Education report. Some of the presentations will be live and streamed, while others will be provided as video materials a week before the event.
On the day the workshop will open with four 10 min. presentations, followed by some questions to the panel and then a whole group discussion, using padlet to feedback ideas for a plenary. This is a hybrid event and we encourage online participation from the whole network very much including people who are not attending the conference this year in person. You do not need to have paid the conference fee to join us! The online conversation will be managed through breakout rooms.
Here are some questions to think about to frame those conversations:
- What has been your own experience in your own settings with what policy?
- What does thinking about policy reveal, and what does it occlude? What is made visible and what is made invisible when we think though the implications of policy.

Skole i verden-konferansen 2024 – 27. september
‘Skole i verden’ er et nettverk for norske skoler og aktører utenfor skolen som samarbeider om bærekrafttemaer. Nettverket arrangerer konferanse 27.september i Oslo. Konferansen er en møteplass for å utvikle nettverk og samarbeid for skolens arbeid med bærekraftig utvikling. Målgruppen for konferansen er lærere, skoleledere, lærerutdannere, skolepolitikere, organisasjoner og bedrifter som er opptatt av eller nysgjerrige på SiV-samarbeid. In response to urgent global sustainability challenges, Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Global Citizenship Education have been prioritized in the United Nations’ Agenda 2030 under SDG 4.7. There is a growing awareness that treating concepts such as global citizenship, sustainable development, climate urgency, and health and well-being as separate subjects or topics to be added to a curriculum is ineffective as they are highly interconnected. Additionally, this approach is problematic as schools already have an overcrowded curriculum.
This edited volume brings together a range of scholars and reflective practitioners from across the globe who are investigating and enacting a whole school approach (WSA) in education for sustainability. While the WSA and related approaches, such as those advocated by EcoSchools, are becoming more popular, there is a lack of understanding of their underlying principles and the different manifestations in diverging socio-cultural contexts at different educational levels. This collection of chapters provides a deeper understanding of the WSA, while also addressing its effectiveness, possibilities for upscaling, professional development needs for WSA practitioners, interlinkages with more conventional curriculum requirements, expectations of students and parents, and more.

NABU-bloggen er et fint sted å publisere korte tekster innenfor en populærvitenskapelig genre, tilgjengelig for «folk flest». Teksten kan blant annet bygge på en bok eller en artikkel du har skrevet. Det kan også være bidrag fra studenter. Kanskje du kan engasjere egne masterstudenter og stipendiater til å skrive blogginnlegg?
